Nice and practical. They could get colored floating particles like plankton and blood and swirl them into the right shapes. Difficult and temporary. They could get colored pieces of coral and lay them out on the ground. Relatively practical but still colored. |

To my knowledge, the characters are:
ROUTES
Shark-chan, tiger shark (Duh.)
Mako, mako (sporty/tomboyish type)
Class Rep, great white (intelligent, possibly manipulative; could be demoted to antagonist of Hammerhead's route)
Hama, hammerhead (quiet bookworm)
Rinko; whale shark (uncertain; made mention of upbeat, artistic outcast type; saw mention of reclusive outcast type, could be too similar to Hammerhead, though)
Nami-san (Also duh.)
OTHER
Scuba-kun (Duh. Again.)
Kame-sensei (teacher/mentor/suchlike)
POSSIBLE
Shark-nyan (seems to be coming up a bit, not sure what the decision is on her, though)
Octopus (mentioned once or twice; I proposed using her as a nurse or librarian, keeping her clumsy nature)
Goblin shark (a suggestion from me after seeing the post regarding goblin sharks and remoras)
Thresher shark (would fit the same general role as the goblin shark; generic rich character, not necessarily a route, followed around by dogfish servants)
Nurse shark (doctor; mistaken for nurse?)
Feel free to correct me, but I think that's about it. As far as I know, the jury is out on the possible characters and I don't recall seeing an absolute agreement on whether Nami-san has a route or not.

I'm not sure where this would fit in, but there is a type of shark called a "dogfish" that would probably make a good pet/stealth pun for one of the shark-chans.

I feel like if we have a nurse character and it ISN'T a nurse shark then we've failed at our intended purpose. Although, I do like the idea of having a nurse shark be Mako's doctor post-accident and having everybody call her "Nurse." Possibly have her a bit on edge, expecting everyone to think she's a nurse and having Scuba notice she's a doctor right off the bat.

That's actually kind of the role I had initially imagined when I suggested the goblin shark character. Generic rich character followed around by a swarm of servants (in this case a large number of remoras). I'll be keeping the character list I posted in this thread up to date, by the way. I already added the thresher to the list of possible characters. |
