{Game Blurb}
It was a simple experiment, right? Honestly, he didn't even expect it to work. Communicating with sharks? That just sounded absurd! By some miraculous misfortune, it worked. Now, trapped beneath the ocean by his friend's weighty expectations and his own morbid curiosity, Scuba-kun finds himself enrolled in an impossible school. Tormented by the absurd antics of its selachimorphic students and the questionable competence of its staff, Scuba needs only return to the surface with his findings. Assuming, of course, the students at Undawata Academy don't kill him first.
{Shark-chan}
The youngest of Scuba-kun's newest tormentors, Shark-chan is a rather boisterous first-year student at Undawata Academy. Though she appears remarkably blunt and up-front about almost everything, she hides her true feelings quite well. Her dream is to be the best songstress in the seven seas. Unfortunately she has yet to realize she's completely tone-deaf.
{Class Rep}
For reasons nobody quite understands, this friendly second-year student is quite the overachiever. She volunteers at every opportunity and leads any group project she's involved in. She has developed something of an academic rivalry with Hamma. Despite this, the two of them seem to be on amiable terms.
{Hamma}
A very shy second-year student, Hamma tends to drift into the background. She's a bit of an enigma, since nobody pays her much attention. In spite of – or perhaps resulting from – this, she is an outstanding student, having received perfect marks her entire life. Her academic prowess is one of the few things she takes genuine pride in.
{Mako}
Though not exactly impressive in class, this third-year student is unbeatable on the field. She is fins down the fastest shark in the school. A viciously competitive shark, Mako has yet to lose and dedicates her all her spare time to practicing. Due to this, she has very few friends in class, but is quite social at sporting events. Even if she does take them a bit too seriously.
{Rinko}
The class clownfish, this third-year student acts more immature than even Shark-chan at times. Along with Hamma, she is one of two members in the school's art club. She is fiercely protective of her friend but is otherwise a generally lighthearted shark. There is almost nothing she takes seriously. It is nothing short of a miracle that her grades haven't suffered from her antics.
{Nami}
Scuba-kun's friend and the reason he's in Undawata to begin with. In order to keep an eye on him, she's decided to pose as a third-year student. Her mind boggles at the numerous – and often hilarious – mistakes in the school's books. Scuba doesn't always understand the scientific gibberish that flows from her and he's fairly certain she makes up half of it. Still, she seems to know what she's doing.
These are all just rough and somewhat rushed descriptions and can be edited as we progress. For now, they're just the culmination of everything we've discussed about the characters. I have some ideas to discuss after we decide whether or not to remove the Rinko, Nami, and Mako routes. They could be kept in as background characters or added later as bonus or downloadable content but as it stands, seven routes may be too ambitious.
