We don't really have a title for the VN yet, and although we may come up with better ideas in the middle of writing, it's never too early to start brainstorming. Temporarily, the title is Shark of Hearts, as suggested by sanimeaotakuo. Other possible titles I've come up with include Notice Me!, and a slight rewording of the current one, Heart of a Shark. Also, Bunnerz Lalonde, Maker of Sad suggested renaming the project Project Shark-chan. Does that sound good? |

Undersea Love, My Heart In Your Jaws, Just The Same (the Japanese word for shark being "same"), Same Hearts (commentary on the oneness of life and a cheap pun).
Project Shark-chan as project name is fine.

I think if the game is going to be mostly comedic then Project Shark-chan or Notice Me! works well, but if it's going to be more serious in terms of the storyline and routes, maybe a name like Same Hearts or Just the Same would be most appropriate |

I don't think a title so directly derived from an earlier and superficially similar work is a good idea.

It depends if we're going at it from a parodic or more serious aspect. If we intend to have it primarily spoof VNs, going with a name like Sametsun Girlfriend wouldn't be so bad as it would just reinforce the point. If we want to be more serious with it, then we should probably steer clear of doing something like that.
Looking through the forum, it seems we've settled that this is to be its own thing and not just a general parody of the genre, but I don't think anyone's come out and outright said what the actual direction is. That in mind, it would be best to keep an assortment of names to fit the various directions the game could take.

Personally, I like "Notice Me!"
For some reason I can just visualize the title scene where it says it in a big bubbly font and shark-chan is leering angrily from behind the words. In a sub script it just says "an interactive novel" or something to that effect.

Despite already having a good amount of enthusiastic people, we're still getting more bakas at an alarming rate. We shouldn't make any major decisions with polls until everyone working on it has pretty much been settled. |
